Dervos successfully passed the API-6D certification issued by the American Petroleum Institute (API), and today the certificate has been granted to Dervos, which is another upgrade of our qualification!   In order to achieve deeper cooperation with customers, and to further meet the ever-increasing needs of our customers，Dervos has been constantly striving to improve the quality of our products and production strength, and to provide better products and services to our customers. We look forward to working with our customers to achieve a win-win situation!   API certification   API is the abbreviation of American Petroleum Institute (API), which was established in 1919 and is the first national business association in the United States and one of the earliest and most successful standard-setting chambers of commerce in the world.   The organization was based on the characteristics of the industry and the needs of the industry itself. The API Code was developed in 1924 to provide technical specifications to guide the production of products related to the petroleum industry. Due to the advanced, universal and safe nature of the API Code developed by the API Organization and the expanding influence of the US oil industry in the world, the API Code has been widely adopted by countries around the world. As a result, the API Organization, originally meant to be an academic organization for the US petroleum industry, has now evolved into an authoritative academic organization for the petroleum industry that crosses national boundaries.  

In order tobetter manage the work of each department, facilitate interdepartmental cooperation and improve working efficiency, Dervos officially released the company's ISO system document - DVS-procedure document on April 1, which will be officially implementedfrom the day   Thenew ISO system documents include a total of 31 specification documents,coveringall the content of the existing departments of the company. These documents provide guidance and requirements for howDervos could manage production and serveour customers in a more thoughtful and effective way.   Dervos, exploring the valve market for more than ten years, insists on bringing better quality products to the market. In the downturn of the market environment hit by the epidemic, we are still seeking and improving, hoping to serve our customers better.

After nearly a half month of preparation, our 2020 annual meeting which was postponed due to domestic mildly worse COVID-19 situation last winter, was finally held successfully on 2 March.   Instead of coming straight to the work report, Eric Wong, Dervos CEO, who also presided the meeting, firstly recalled our 3-year development plan, adding pursuing collective prosperity to this work guide.   “This is the most coarse but primitive wish we came together here, right?”, he said, “concrete benefits speak louder than any other cliche.”   Meanwhile, he delivered his wish that everyone could enjoy time in Dervos. In the following course of this meeting, Eric reviewed and presented what the company had done in the past harsh year. In the terms of 2021 plans, he introduced the pending structural adjustment and stock incentive system, vowing that he would double efforts to enhance the collective cohesion and lead the team and the company to a new high.   In the afternoon, we headed to a photographic studio to get our 2021 brand-new personal profile picture. Ready for gorgeous shots, all of DVSers are in well dressed and makeup. We regard this shot as a rare opportunities to express the extrinsic ourselves, and of course, we also have outstanding intrinsic professional qualities. It got late, and the after-party begun. If you’re familiar with Dervos and the city the firm located,  we have a traditional activity called BoBing, or "gambling for cakes", to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, and it is the same activity that dominates the new year celebration. What’s different is that thecake this time is cash instead of gifts.   Roc, head of our Zhejiang branch, luckily became the biggest winner. At the moment, we finally put a period to all works and tasks of 2020. With a full year of memories and lessons, Dervos is eager for new challenges and opportunities ahead. Time keeps moving forward, and we get the last day of 2020. As you may have seen, there are a lot of red elements in the following pictures. In Chinese culture, red stands for fortune and luck. We at Dervos all dress in red this day, wishing 2021 would be a red new year for us. It happened to be a Friday, and we finished work early in the afternoon and started to clean our respective work areas. It is kind of a traditional activity in China, sweeping out the old things and welcoming the coming year with a new look. Posting window decalsis also an indispensable work. Helena, the girl in the right pic below, was finishing the phrase that pretty much says new year new luck. Another girl was showing her amazing handcraft job. Count down 3, 2, 1. Finally we get through the terrible 2020 and step into a brand new 2021. Human society artificially divides time into days, months and years. That demonstrates our wishes to left the bad in the past and embrace the unknown future by the alternation of the old and the the new. Although 2020 is a bumpy year, Dervos maintains a positive mindset for the following 2021 and wishes our customers, in the new year, endless luck and joys.

It was on 11th of December, a rare cloudless afternoon in these consecutive chilly and dreary winterdays. "Now that the weather favored us, it would be a huge waste to stay at the office, wouldn't it?" Eric Wong, DVS owner, suggested. Then, unexpectedly, we stopped typing, packed staff and went on the way to an extra long footpath that nearly cross the entire downtown. You may see from the image, the walkway spirals up into the woods along the steel frame. As we climb higher, it's getting challenging and scary to walk on the floating way, but the beautiful coastline also emerges on the horizon. As we Chinese always say attracting scenery is always higher. But unfortunately we are within a no-fly area, our drone is forbidden to lift off，the laugh on the first photo below turned into scowl off the camera. Quite hilarious! As the sun went down the hill, the 3-hour brisk walk finally came to an end till the dawn. The glistening sweaton our brow recorded this an joyful afternoon. Though we didn't finish the whole footpath (because it's way too long), we may regard this end as being archived, and some day in the future, perhaps we will have another chance to continue this unfinished trip. 2020 is also approaching an end.
